Psychology Degree

A psychology degree teaches you how people relate to one another: their behavior, reactions to situations, emotions, and feelings. That knowledge is valuable to a variety of employers and industries. The American Psychological Association states that you “may work in human resources or communications, while further education will open paths toward clinical practice and research.”

Listed are some careers that may request an applicant with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology:

  • Case Manager
  • Mental Health Counselor
  • Substance Abuse and Behavioral Disorder Counselors
  • Special Education Teacher
  • Market Research Analyst
  • Business Administrator
  • Sales
  • Employment (Career) Counselor

Of course, your options expand even greater if you continue your education to obtain your masters or doctorate degree. Many psychology majors choose to return to school full-time (or even part-time online while working) to attain their master’s degree and continue onto a doctorate.
